God has overlooked the times of such ignorance, yet now he is telling mankind that they should all everywhere repent. Because he has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and he has furnished a guarantee to all men in that he has resurrected him from the dead.

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, Jesus himeself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Let the husband render to his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant; later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Even so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

And thus I aspire to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named so that I would not build on another man's foundation.
