I would like to ask all those who have positions of responsibility in economic, political and social life, and all men and women of goodwill: let us be 'protectors' of creation, protectors of God's plan inscribed in nature, protectors of one another and of the environment.

I join the March for Life in Washington with my prayers. May God help us respect all life, especially the most vulnerable.

Religious fundamentalism, even before it eliminates human beings by perpetrating horrendous killings, eliminates God himself, turning him into a mere ideological pretext.

Let's not forget that God never gets tired of forgiving so let's never get tired of asking for forgiveness.
