I make a forceful and urgent call to the entire Catholic Church, and also to every Christian of other confessions, as well as to followers of every religion and to those brothers and sisters who do not believe: peace is a good which overcomes every barrier, because it belongs to all of humanity!

Wretched are those who are vindictive and spiteful.

I ask you to ensure that humanity is served by wealth, and not ruled by it.

We cannot become starched Christians, too polite, who speak of theology calmly over tea. We have to become courageous Christians and seek out those (who need help most).

Solidarity...is a structural value of the social doctrine, as Blessed John Paul II reminded us.

We need to see each child as a gift to be welcomed, cherished, and protected.

Every threat to the family is a threat to society itself.
