Throughout history, religious differences have divided men and women from their neighbors and have served as justification for some of humankind's bloodiest conflicts. In the modern world, it has become clear that people of all religions must bridge these differences and work together, to ensure our survival and realize the vision of peace that all faiths share.

Democracy is not a commodity for import and export.

To resolve such conflicts peacefully in our interdependent - or what I would like to call our intra-interdependent - world requires not just well-chosen words but sustained and unified action.

A universal ethos cannot be thought the property of any one culture.

War and it's tragic repercussions are inclusive of all; surely a model for peace should strive for such inclusiveness.

The sun-belt and the technology belt can become very powerful when they begin to understand themselves as a community: a community of energy, water and climate security; a community for their common future.

It is time for us Arabs and Muslims to formulate a committee of wise persons to bear the responsibility of engaging with this new American century.
