I like movies where you can come back and re-watch them and admire the cinematography 25 years later.

I know when something is done and when it isn't. There's been times working on movies when they [moviemakers] lock in a release date and so you're stuck to that schedule. But sometimes you're still editing and you feel like you're not really done, but they're sort of releasing the movie anyway - that's kind of depressing.

When you can program your own life, you're just going to program what you already like. Because of that, people's taste becomes much more narrow-minded.

I guess I get enough real life, in real life, so that's why I like things that are more extreme.

I was never really that aware of commercial things. The stuff that was really influential to me were bands like the Misfits or the Birthday Party, or things like that. If someone said, "Do you love Judas Priest?" - I never really even had a Judas Priest record. That's not what I grew up with. That wasn't really my scene, you know? That's why White Zombie never really fit. I still don't fit.

I try to stay friends with everybody because you might go back and work with somebody who you had a horrible experience with and it could be great the next time. You never know which way it's going to go, never say never.

I think so much about everything. I'm obsessive.
