Wisdom includes not getting angry unnecessarily. The Law ignores trifles and the wise man does, too.

The ethics of sex is a thorny problem. Each of us is forced to grope for a solution he can live with - in the face of preposterous, unworkable, and evil code of so-called 'Morals.' Most of us know the code is wrong, almost everybody breaks it. But we pay Danegeld by feeling guilty and giving lip service. Willy-nilly, the code rides us, dead and stinking, an albatross around the neck.

There is no way that writers can be tamed and rendered civilized. Or even cured.

Humans hardly ever learn from the experience of others. They learn - when they do, which isn't often - on their own, the hard way.

Ninety percent of all human wisdom is the ability to mind your own business.

It's up to the artist to use language that can be understood, not hide it in some private code. Most of these jokers don't even want to use language you and I know or can learn . . . they would rather sneer at us and be smug, because we 'fail' to see what they are driving at. If indeed they are driving at anything--obscurity is usually the refuge of incompetence.
