The Bible and its teachings helped form the basis for the Founding Fathers' abiding belief in the inalienable rights of the individual.

What we don't need is more spending, and what we don't need are taxes, and what we do need is a lot less of both.

We could ask, would even the greatest of liars carry his lie through the crucifixion, when a simple confession would have saved him? ... Did he allow us the choice... to believe in his teaching but reject his statements about his own identity?

Two visions of the world remain locked in dispute. The first believes all men are created equal by a loving God who has blessed us with freedom. The second vision believes that religion is opium for the masses. It believes that eternal principles like truth, liberty, and democracy have no meaning beyond the whim of the state. And [Vladimir] Lenin spoke for them.
