[Donald] Trump wasn't even in public life back in 2002-2003. There was nothing Trump could have done one way or the other no matter what he thought about it.
Rush LimbaughThe Republicans didn't get rolled by anybody. Chuck Schumer didn't outsmart Mitch McConnell, and Nancy Pelosi sure as hell did not outsmart Paul Ryan. I don't care what you think of Ryan, he's not an idiot, folks. These people are not dumb. They're not sitting up there thinking, "All we gotta do is be nice to the Democrats and the media."
Rush LimbaughThe law exists for lots of reasons. In the case of migration, the law exists to maintain the integrity of America. We allow immigrants here, happily so. We don't deny legal immigrants a path to citizenship in this country. But beyond that, since we can't take in everybody, since everybody can't come here, it's physically not possible - well, it is. You know you could put the population of the world inside the state of Texas in 1,500-square-feet homes. I mean, you wouldn't want to, but you could do it.
Rush LimbaughI'm not saying Donald Trump voters are a cult at all. I'm saying the attitude of implicit trust, people don't trust politicians like that, and yet a lot of people will profess blanket trust of Trump.
Rush LimbaughThe left portray Donald Trump as somebody that's a walking mental midget, that literally has no idea what he's done here by winning the presidency, that has no idea how to talk, has no idea how to behave. They continue to make the mistake of plugging him into their model. They're plugging him into what they think an accomplished politician is, and he's not that, he's never been that, and he's not going to be that. He doesn't want to a politician, successful or not. He is president and he's going to lead this country in the ways that he's being very open and honest about.
