When I lived in California, 1984 to '87, it was a Republican state. Sacramento where I lived was 73% Democrat voter registration, when I got there. It was in the sixties when I left. We had amazing success in converting Democrats in Sacramento. But Pete Wilson, Ronald Reagan, all people elected governors and so forth, it's only been with the advent of the 1986 immigration bill that we lost California, if I might say, and now it's just gone so far left they're seriously talking about seceding.
Rush LimbaughLet's say you want to do a job, and you want to be really successful. You want to rise really high in that career. But where you live, that job doesn't exist. Your town's too small. Or maybe the business is your town, but even if you reach the pinnacle there, because it's a small town, it's not nearly as high as you could go. If you're unwilling to move, well, that's all on you. That's a limitation you're placing on yourself. Now, that's fine if that's what makes you happy.
Rush LimbaughIt's not a big deal, but it's quite noticeable and obvious to me, and it's a little hypocritical, and it's a little contradictory. Here we have all of these Republicans in the House and the Senate - not all, but I mean a majority who, for seven years, ran on repealing and replacing Obamacare. They promised, seven years. When it was time to reelect, time to campaign, promised. Now they run the House and they run the Senate, and they can't come up with a bill. Isn't it amazing?
Rush LimbaughThe idea that any president represents the world, by definition the United States must be diminished for that to happen.
Rush LimbaughThere are now more Millennial women with college degrees than Millennial men. I said to the audience, "Folks, you gotta stop looking at this men-versus-women thing as a 'versus,' as a comparison, as a getting even." That's not a good bit of news. I'm a chauvinist. How could I dare think that it's a bad thing that more Millennial women have college degrees? And there are answers to it but I'm not prepared to give 'em yet.
