No matter what Tucker Carlson tried - no matter what logic, the law, no matter what he tried - he could not disabuse this student of the idea that we can't survive as a country doing that and that the country must have borders and that a country must determine who gets in and who does not.
Rush LimbaughI'm just telling you in my universe, people that I know who voted for Donald Trump and want the Trump agenda or most of it, I don't know anybody who is content for nothing to happen, status quo while the Republicans and Trump bicker. I don't know anybody who wants any more of this.
Rush LimbaughIf you look at the New York Times, it says X; if you look at the Washington Post, it says the same thing. And if you turn on any television newscast it's the same thing you already heard, that's research. And that's one of the ways it's done. Authority ends up being imputed simply because of volume. I mean, all of these different news organizations reporting the exact same thing.
Rush LimbaughThe left has done a very admirably good job of demonizing the private sector, where what happens? Cheating, lying, dishonesty, destroying the planet, killing customers, starving people. And they've positioned themselves, of course, as the great compassionate last hope. They're the ones who truly care. We're not supposed to examine the results of their efforts, which are always dismal and always fail. We're supposed to examine their good intentions.
Rush LimbaughIn the founding days of the Constitution, the purpose of the media was to make sure that powerful government officials were held accountable. It really was. I mean, it was founders who hated the media like everybody else hates the media, but they understood the role they played. This media long ago when it comes to Hillary Clinton/Bill Clinton and the Democrat Party? No, no, no, no. They're the Democrat Party now. There is no media.
Rush LimbaughYou can keep raising it, but at some point, everybody who believes in a minimum wage will say, "No, wait a minute. That's too much," and at that point, you have demonstrated that that there's no market relationship. You're just talking emotion. You're just talking "fairness." You're just talking being nice, and that's not how the market works. People aren't paid a wage because they're being nice to, or because it's fair. In the market, the market rules.
Rush LimbaughThis is exactly the kind of thing that Trump supporters are fed up with about the Republican Party, how easy it is for so many in the Republican Party to sell out the party and join the Democrats - or not sell out the party, but stay within the party and advance the Democrats' agenda, be it with amnesty and immigration, abortion, who knows whatever it is.
