Greedy bankers trashing the economy are to blame, not migrants.

London has always been open to trade, people, ideas. We have to keep that. I want to compete not just with New York, Paris, Berlin... the ten fastest growing cities in the world are in China. How do we compete with them? We have to attract investment and we have to compete on skills.

Most employers I speak to, they want to create jobs and give decent salaries. Some small and medium companies say to me they cannot afford to pay the living wage. I say "what about if I gave you a business rate cut?" and they say, yes, ok. We want companies which are skilled up, generating more profit, more corporation tax - we should not be embarrassed at success, as long as they pay their taxes.

Britain cannot compete with China or Taiwan on price; we compete on skills, on arts and culture.

I am the only candidate for mayor of London with the experience of being a transport minister.

London is a great city full of amazing people from all backgrounds and when Londoners face adversity, we always pull together. We stand up for our values. And we show the world. We are the greatest city in the world.

How is it having more control if there are businesses from China, India, America choosing Germany and France over London?
