I think that, you know, when we start talking about the Tea Party, people want to marginalize that into some kind of organization or party, but it really isn't.
Sharron AngleWe have put in so much entitlement into our government that we really have spoiled our citizenryand said, you don't want the jobs that are available.
Sharron AngleThe Federal Department of Education should be eliminated. The Department of Education is unconstitutional and should not be involved in education, at any level.
Sharron AngleI'm pro responsible choice. You know, there is choice to abstain, choice to do contraception. There are all kinds of good choices
Sharron AngleThe Second Amendment is the right to keep and bear arms for our citizenryThis is for usThis is for us when our government becomes tyrannical
Sharron AngleIt's good for a country to have a revolution every 20 years. I hope that's not where we're going. But, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies.
Sharron AngleThere is a plan and a purpose, a value to every life, no matter what its location, age, gender or disability.
Sharron AngleThey [Republicans] say, 'You're too conservative.' Was Thomas Jefferson too conservative? I'm tired of some people calling me wacky.
Sharron AngleSo thatโs what we want is a secure and sovereign nation and, you know, I donโt know that all of you are Latino. Some of you look a little more Asian to me. I donโt know that. What we know, what we know about ourselves is that we are a melting pot in this country. My grandchildren are evidence of that. Iโm evidence of that. Iโve been called the first Asian legislator in our Nevada State Assembly.
Sharron AngleYou can make more money on unemployment than you can going down and getting one of those jobs that is an honest job, but it doesn't pay as much. And so, that's what's happened to us is that we have put in so much entitlement into our government, that we really have spoiled our citizenry and said you don't want the jobs that are available.
Sharron AngleWeโre supposed to depend upon God for our protection and our provision and for our daily bread, not for our government.
Sharron AngleWe need to diversify our economy, and the energy industry would be a great place to begin that diversification.
Sharron AngleAnd that's really what's happening in this country is a violation of the First Commandment. We have become a country entrenched in idolatry, and that idolatry is the dependency upon our government. We're supposed to depend upon God for our protection and our provision and for our daily bread, not for our government.
Sharron AngleOur Founders warned against this. They said don't... that your liberty is only as secure as the people are. Because once they, um, get the ability to vote themselves entitlements from the largesse of the government, liberty is done; freedom is over with. We were warned. We are there.
Sharron AngleI think that two wrongs don't make a right. And I have been in the situation of counseling young girls, not 13 but 15, who have had very at risk, difficult pregnancies. And my counsel was to look for some alternatives, which they did. And they found that they had made what was really a lemon situation into lemonade.
Sharron AngleI knew that if we were going to actually defeat Harry Reid, we had to have a candidate who would offer a sharp policy contrast. Someone who would not just pay lip service to limited government principles, but had a solid record of voting that way time and again. I'm that candidate.
Sharron AngleYou know, I'm a Christian and I believe that God has a plan and a purpose for each one of our lives and that he can intercede in all kinds of situations and we need to have a little faith in many things
Sharron AngleThe premise of my whole campaign has been not that people need to believe what I say to them, but they need to look at what I have done. And what I have done in the state of Nevada, I have voted over a 100 times against tax and fee increases, poor public policy, and unconstitutional bills.
Sharron AngleCertainly, the job of a U.S. senator is to create a climate conducive to creating jobs, which is lower taxes and less government regulation. What Harry Reid has been doing is putting forward those policies that actually put more regulation on business.
Sharron AnglePeople have always said - those words, 'too conservative,' is fairly relative. I'm sure that they probably said that about Thomas Jefferson and George Washington and Benjamin Franklin.
Sharron AngleAnd truly, when you look at the Constitution and our founding fathers and their writings, the things that made this country great, you might draw those conclusions: That they were conservative. They were fiscally conservative and socially conservative.
Sharron AngleI'm hoping that we're not getting to Second Amendment remedies. I hope the vote will be the cure for the Harry Reid problems.
Sharron AngleAnd we know that once we have a majority that are dependent upon the government, we will lose our freedom; it says we go into bondage. That's the next stage.
Sharron AnglePeople ask me, "What are you going to do to develop jobs in your state?" Well, that's not my job as a US senator...
Sharron AngleWe're talking about a militant terrorist situation, which I believe it isn't a widespread thing, but it is enough that we need to address, and we have been addressing it. My thoughts are these, first of all, Dearborn, Michigan, and Frankford, Texas are on American soil, and under constitutional law. Not Sharia law. And I don't know how that happened in the United States. It seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with allowing a foreign system of law to even take hold in any municipality or government situation in our United States.
