I try to be a good daughter, as I believe in karma and feel that how you are with your parents is directly proportionate to what you receive in your life. I am a big oneness follower, and our gurus have told us that if you want to achieve external happiness, you need to be happy internally. And your inner circle is your family.
Shilpa ShettyI'd love to direct a film, but I don't think I have the temperament for it. I'm very hyper, and I want things to be done ASAP. If I turn director, I might end up killing my actors.
Shilpa ShettyMy goal is that after I am dead and gone, I want people to remember me for the person I am.
Shilpa ShettyIndian films are always very passionate and romantic, and so long as the scene is done well aesthetically, I have no qualms doing it.
Shilpa ShettyI love Chinese food, like steamed dim sum, and I can have noodles morning, noon and night, hot or cold. I like food that's very simple on the digestive system - I tend to keep it light. I love Japanese food too - sushi, sashimi and miso soup.
Shilpa ShettyI'm a proud Indian but I feel very, very happy that people have accepted me here as well in the west. It's the people here in Britain that have given me my newfound fame here, so I owe it to them. We must give credit where it's deserved. It's not just the Asian community, it was also the British people who voted for me on Celebrity Big Brother and wanted to see me. So, I'm very happy and I think I'm a good eclectic mix of both cultures.
Shilpa ShettyI visualise what I want through meditation. The process of meditating is a great way of making sure I have my priorities sorted. It's not about money - I focus on my career and the kind of film projects I want to do. Film-making is a passion for me, and my mantra is that you should do what you love, and the money will follow.
