I'd like it to be a bit of everything, the kind of music you can dance to, but also something a bit more personal, that you can listen to in other contexts. I think it's very important to maintain the contrasts between the different types of music that I make.

I put a lot of effort in creating something fictional, yet very personal, because Shook is a defining part of me and my music: the Shook entity is much like the Batman or Superman comics characters. I think the artwork is very important because it gives people a visualization of my music. I wanted to create a whole visual aspect, so that the people listening to me can get a better understanding of my universe and integrate it fully into their own worlds.

Usually, I make a simple beat, throw in the acapella, and then I just improvise on the piano. Whatever comes up, I record the result, and I rework on it. Sometimes it takes a while to come with an idea, but mostly it comes naturally because I already have a connection with the song.
