I'm inspired by everything, really. I'm inspired by locations and travel, I'm inspired by art and music, I'm inspired by people. When my curiosity peaks and I want to know everything about the subject, I want to know how I can get more deeply involved.

I'm looking for things that are really connected - education, both in the developing world and at home. The way that that affects communities and, in particular, women.

I was really lucky. I had a really great opportunity. I went to an all girls, very small private school from seventh grade all the way to graduating. It was so wonderful because the focus was school at school...and during the week I could be that nerdy bookworm of a girl, and do six hours of homework at night.

I've heard some pretty bad things in my life. I'm just one of those people I've gotten to a point where I don't want to be rude, but if it's uninvited attention from people it's like, "Thank you, but no." I'm going to shut you down right away.

Two people who I think have the world's most perfect skin are Cate Blanchett and Kate Bosworth. Maybe there's something to being named Kate, I don't know, but those two just seem to be effortless, yet completely, ethereally gorgeous.

I will not vote for a candidate who thinks you can 'pray away the gay,' I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that he has more rights to my uterus than I do, I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that it's okay to dump toxic waste in the ocean.

I get to do what I love every day. I get to crawl into someone else's head and I love that.
