The battle for our lives, and the lives and souls of our children, our husbands, our friends, our families, our neighbors, and our nation is waged on our knees. When we don't pray, it's like sitting on the sidelines watching those we love and care about scrambling through a war zone, getting shot at from every angle. When we do pray, however, we're in the battle alongside them, approaching God's power on their behalf. If we also declare the Wordog God in our prayers, then we wield a powerful weapon against which no enemy can prevail.

We will never be happy until we make God the source of our fulfillment and the answer to our longings. He is the only one who should have power over our souls.

Praying is not telling God what to do. It's trusting that God knows what to do.

The most important thing we can pray about for others is that they will know God better and that He will help them understand His will, grow in spiritual wisdom, and live lives that honor Him. We can pray that they will become more like Him and bear the fruit of His Spirit.

Don't think too small about what God could do in your life-be prepared for God to do a big thing.

If your prayers haven't been answered, it doesn't mean they won't be answered. In fact, they may have already been answered, but just not in the way you wanted or expected them to be.

We don’t want to limit what God can do in our children by trying to parent them alone—Trust God to take care of them.
