There's no difference in dealing with the music business with the majors than any other competition. The music business is way more cutthroat than any other business.
Suge KnightWhen I start getting old, I'm going to start ending my prayers like, "Lord, it'd be a good day to die." I don't wanna be 130 years old with a diaper on, all my friends dead and gone. I wanna get to heaven, come get me!
Suge KnightI think the biggest misconception about me probably is ... I don't prey on the weak. I ain't a bully, but I ain't no saint, either.
Suge KnightComing from prison, you're more appreciative. Somebody gives you a bottle of water, you're like, "Thank you." Because that water means something. It might not be too good. It might not even be drinkable, but you know, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Suge KnightI'm gonna make sure everybody get their justice. This the year for business, this the year for my book, this the year for the movie and this the year for getting even. I'm on my way.
Suge KnightNo matter what it is, I think people want the answer they want, they don't want the truth.
Suge KnightThe music business would be much better, for the youth and the kids, if they start hiring employees that understand the kids.
Suge KnightI'm passionate about everything, like my family and friends. Anybody I am talkin' to is gonna be bona fide real. There is no substitution for happiness. Period.
Suge KnightIf you grow up in the suburbs, you hear of people dying of old age, car wrecks, cancer. In the city, it's always people dying of violence or stray bullets.
Suge KnightI ain't never preyed on the weak. I ain't never gone and picked on a guy that I knew I could beat up, even as a kid. People wanna make me seem like I'm [that] type of guy.
Suge KnightI'm in prison. But my heart and mind is free. Gangsta haters on the streets are doing more time than me. They need 30 police escorts with them every time they walk down the street.
Suge KnightWhen you're dealing with TV and with movies, people dont take it as serious as they do with music. If a rapper does a song about shooting people on the block, and goes into a restaurant or grocery store, people grab their purses because they're afraid the person is violent. With TV and movies, people know it's okay, it's just a script.
