Just as I sit down to meditate, all the vilest subjects in the world come up. The whole thing is nauseating. Why should the mind think thoughts I do not want it to think? I am as it were a slave to the mind.

Religion is the life of India, religion is the language of this country, the symbol of all its movements.

The organs are the horses, the mind is the rein, the intellect is the charioteer, the soul is the rider, and the body is the chariot.

The chief helps in this liberation are Abhyasa and Vairagya. Vairagya is non - attachment to life, because it is the will to enjoy that brings all this bondage in its train; and Abhyasa is constant practice of any one of the Yogas.

When you talk and think of the Absolute, you have to do it in the relative; so all these logical arguments apply.

So long as you have faith in your Guru, nothing will be able to obstruct your way.

Body is the name of a stream of matter continuously changing.
