I want to make people feel things when they hear my music I want to give a song to someone who is going through a break up, I want to give a song to someone who loves someone and can't tell them. A song for someone who has just fallen in love and a song for just people who are living their lives.

You meet someone and it’s so much more than meeting them. It’s so much bigger and it’s like you’re enchanted by them.

When we're falling in love or out of it, that's when we most need a song that says how we feel. Yeah, I write a lot of songs about boys. And I'm very happy to do that.

I've had a few semi-toxic relationships, but it's not what I look for when I'm seeing someone.

When I was a teenager I felt like we were always being stereotyped as being really intense and dramatic and passionate and hopelessly romantic and excitable, now in retrospect I think I need to let you know those things are amazing. I hope you never lose those things.

I think my favorite thing about seasons changing is the opportunity to look different.
