The battle for self-discipline may leave you a bit bruised and battered but always a better person.

When we treat people merely as they are, they will remain as they are. When we treat them as if they were what they should be, they will become what they should be.

Physically walking where Jesus walked is less important than walking as He walked.

We forget how the Greeks and Romans prevailed magnificently in a barbaric world and how that triumph ended-how a slackness and softness finally overcame them to their ruin. In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security and a comfortable life; and they lost all-comfort and security and freedom.

A friend is more concerned about helping people than getting credit. A friend cares. A friend loves. A friend listens. And a friend reaches out.

Pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good.

There is absolutely nothing in this world that will provide more comfort and happiness than a testimony of the truth.
