Grace is humbling and restorative. It pulls you down because Christ had to die for you, but also lifts you up because he wanted to die for you.

Describe the God you've rejected. Describe the God you don't believe in. Maybe I don't believe in that God either.

God’s grace does not come to people who morally outperform others, but to those who admit their failure to perform and who acknowledge their need for a Savior.

If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all he said.

Only if you first seek inner forgiveness will your confrontation be temperate, wise, and gracious. Only when you have lost the need to see the other person hurt will you have any chance of actually bringing about change, reconciliation, and healing. You have to submit to the costly suffering and death of forgiveness if there is going to be any resurrection.

If you add anything to Jesus as a requirement for being happy, that's your real king.

The Bible says that our real problem is that every one of us is building our identity on something besides Jesus.
