Fear-based repentance makes us hate ourselves. Joy-based repentance makes us hate the sin.

All Christians have opportunities to serve those who might never come to church or listen to a sermon.

Important reminder: It's not fair of you to demand more proof of Christians for their beliefs than you demand for your own.

Christianity teaches that, contra fatalism, suffering is overwhelming; contra Buddhism, suffering is real; contra karma, suffering is often unfair; but contra secularism, suffering is meaningful. There is a purpose to it, and if faced rightly, it can drive us like a nail deep into the love of God and into more stability and spiritual power than you can imagine.

Just because we don't see a reason for evil and suffering doesn't mean there's not a reason for it.

If God exists then every good endeavor, even the simplest ones, pursued in response to God's calling can matter forever.
