One of the finest beliefs I developed years ago that helped me to enjoy all of my life experience was the idea that there are no bad experiences, that no matter what I go through in life - whether it's a challenging experience or a pleasurable one - every experience provides me something of value if I look for it.

My teacher Jim Rohn taught me a simple principle: every day, stand guard at the door of your mind, and you alone decide what thoughts and beliefs you let into your life. For they will shape whether you feel rich or poor, cursed or blessed.

We usually overestimate what we think we can accomplish in one year-but we grossly underestimate what we can accomplish in a decade.

Remember: courage, unused, diminishes. Commitment, unexercised, wanes. Love, unshared, dissipates.

With goals you can create the future in advance.

If you believe you are right, or you believe you are wrong, you're right. Whenever you are certain about it, you will support it. Remember that.

There is no abiding success without commitment.
