There is a difference between motivation and inspiration. Motivation is when you get hold of an idea and don't let go of it until you make it a reality. Inspiration is the reverse-when an idea gets hold of you and you feel compelled to let that impulse or energy carry you along. You get to a point where you realize that you're no longer in charge, that there's a driving force inside you that can't be stopped.

If you refuse to change your job (if you don't like it), the only sensible thing you can do is practice loving it every day.

I think we have a free will, and at the same moment we don't. We have to live with that. It doesn't make sense intellectually, but that's because our intellect is always trying to come up with a logical, rational explanation for things. To do that, it puts labels on things. But once you label something, you've got twoness. You've got the label, and you've got what you're labeling. And there is only oneness in the universe, even though we artificially believe in twoness.

Beautiful thoughts build a beautiful soul. ...There's always something beautiful to be experienced wherever you are.

I start every day by wanting more for others than I do for myself. I think that is how God works, and that is how I think we have to work.

Motivation means we have an idea and we are going to carry through on that idea. We work hard at it, and we are disciplined.

People talk about things happening and it being "unbelievable," and it's exactly the reverse. It's really believable, but we are so conditioned to believe that these kinds of things are just coincidences, that they're just things that show up arbitrarily in our lives, when the fact is that all of us have this kind of guidance available to us.
