For me, writing has always come out of living a fairly to-the-bone kind of life, just really being present to a lot of life. The writing has been really a byproduct of that.

Even if they are destroying you, allow a moment to see how lost in their own delusion and suffering they are.

I don’t need a certain number of friends, just a number of friends I can be certain of.

It's so important to unclutter the mind. For me, creativity is greatly impeded just by the chatter and visual clutter of life. It's really important to have a space that is really clear for whatever is emerging to come.

The experience of God, or in any case the possibility of experiencing God, is innate.
