All photography is Pop, and all photographers are crazy... they feel guilty since they don't have to do very much - just push a button.

People sometimes say that the way things happen in the movies is unreal, but actually, it's the way things happen to you in life that's unreal. The movies make emotions look strong and real, whereas when things really do happen to you, it's like you're watching television -- you don't feel anything.

Perception precedes reality.

How can you say one style is better than another? You ought to be able to be an Abstract Expressionist next week, or a Pop artist, or a realist, without feeling you've given up something.. I think that would be so great, to be able to change styles. And I think that's what's is going to happen, that's going to be the whole new scene.

I'll bet there are a lot of artists that nobody hears about who just make more money than anybody.

I wake up every morning. I open my eyes and think: here we go again.
