I know exactly what I'm doing on the ice, and I'm in my element.

When I'm done skating, I guarantee you that I will not look back and remember standing on the podium. I'm going to remember these days - being with the team. Training alone, in my basement. Training when everybody else is sleeping. Doing things that nobody else is doing. Digging down. Seeing what kind of character I truly have. I love that stuff.

Who cares if somebody dances better? Doing my very best is rewarding internally.

For me, the '60s in the automotive industry was awesome. The cars are heavy, huge, rolling works of art.

If I have given my all and still do not win, I haven't lost. Others might remember winning or losing; I remember the journey.

I think in general, people look at all Olympic athletes, look at all superstar athletes, and they say, "Okay, this guy doesn't have any insecurities." They're almost like these icons who - I don't know how to say it, but like they can't make mistakes. But the reality is, and I'll tell you this firsthand, a lot of great athletes have a lot of insecurities, and they have a really hard time dealing with a lot of so-called losing or however you want to classify it.

An Olympic pursuit really takes a full three to four years of Olympic preparation.
