Nobody likes taxes. I would prefer that none of us had to pay taxes, including myself.

My identity might begin with the fact of my race, but it didn't, couldn't end there. At least that's what I would choose to believe.

If there's one thing I would like to see, it'd be for us to be able to price the cost of carbon emissions.

But do I think that our actions in anyway violate the War Powers Resolution, the answer is no.

And if that child should ever get the chance to travel the world and someone should ask her where is she from, we believe that she should always be able to hold her head high with pride in her voice when she answers, "I am an American." That is the course we seek. That is the change we are calling for.

I know that gaps can be closed. And they can be closed substantially, more than I think we believe.
