We live in a world where most people still subscribe to the belief that shame is a good tool for keeping people in line. Not only is this wrong, but it’s dangerous. Shame is highly correlated with addiction, violence, aggression, depression, eating disorders, and bullying.

We are hardwired to connect with others, it's what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering.

Vulnerability is the core of shame and fear and our struggle for worthiness, but it appears that it's also the birthplace of joy, of creativity, of belonging, of love.

Connection, the ability to feel connected, is neurobiologically wired, that’s why we’re here!
