Jeet Kune Do: it's just a name; don't fuss over it. There's no such thing as a style if you understand the roots of combat.

Like the cobra, you remain coiled in a loose but compact position and your strike should be felt before it is seen.

The martial arts are based upon understanding, hard work and a total comprehension of skills. Power training and the use of force are easy, but total comprehension of all of the skills of the martial arts is very difficult to achieve.

When you fight, if it is a real fight, use every tool that you have, use your whole body. Use your fists, your legs, your fingers, your head if you have to, and hit them in every vulnerable spot, the balls, the eyes etc. to win.

As you think, so shall you become.

Everything you do, if not in a relaxed state will be done at a lesser level than you are proficient. Thus the tensed expert marksman will aim at a level less than his/her student.

The unfolding of the bare human soul...that is what interests me.
