You know, Mrs. Fields was never a business. It was a part of me...and I never separated, oh, well, business from personal because to me they all blended together.

I've never felt like I was in the cookie business. I've always been in a feel good feeling business. My job is to sell joy. My job is to sell happiness. My job is to sell an experience.

I feel like any time I'm doing what I love, my big pay-off is watching somebody else be the receiver.

I use nothing but the best ingredients. My cookies are always baked fresh. I price cookies so that you cannot make them at home for any less. And I still give cookies away.

My role is to coach, encourage, inspire, motivate, and help people.

Remember, the greatest failure is not to try.

The principle was right there - you couldn't miss it. The more we did for our customers, the more they did for us.
