In self-giving you must be so careful of egotism. You must be so careful when you are aiding others in their liberation not to have a sense of self.

In every situation, feel before acting, just for a second. Look for a feeling.

You can just sit and space out. A lot of people do that and think they are doing a wonderful meditation.

I can't give you happiness. I can show you where it is, but I can't give it to you. How can I give you what you already have? You have to get it yourself, inside your mind.

Do not be selfish and feel new people will take more of the teacher's attention and you won't get it. That's nonsense. With that attitude, you won't get it. The teacher sees that attitude and will have very little to do with you.

When you are meditating, after you've meditated on the yantra or candle flame, simply try feeling gratitude. Sit and feel grateful to existence because you are meditating.

It doesn't pay to listen much to what human beings have to say in their evaluation of you, since they don't evaluate themselves very properly.
