Poetry is one of the destinies of speech... One would say that the poetic image, in its newness, opens a future to language.

How is it possible not to feel that there is communication between our solitude as a dreamer and the solitudes of childhood? And it is no accident that, in a tranquil reverie, we often follow the slope which returns us to our childhood solitudes.

Sometimes the house of the future is better built, lighter and larger than all the houses of the past, so that the image of the dream house is opposed to that of the childhood home. This dream house may be merely a dream of ownership, the embodiment of everything that is considered convenient, comfortable, healthy, sound, desirable, by other people. It must therefore satisfy both pride and reason, two irreconcilable terms.

The only possible proof of the existence of water, the most convincing and the most intimately true proof, is thirst.

For a knowledge of intimacy, localization in the spaces of our intimacy is more urgent than determination of dates.

To feel most beautifully alive means to be reading something beautiful.
