I've always been very bonded to animals - more so than most people. (laughs) I don't think that they can defend themselves, so we have to help them.

My mom really instilled in me that I'm beautiful and I can do anything, and I echo that now with my own girls.

When I turned 30, due to my father's heart history and my family genetics, I vowed to start seeing a cardiologist every year and just really be proactive and take my own heart health into my own hands.

We just moved out of L.A. because I didn't want to be raising my girls in the city. They're in public school now and they're in a normal situation. We're sort of settling into that. It's just a choice.
