I knew early on that I would do politics, but I would never make a living at it. I would do something else.

The Statue of Liberty means everything. We take it for granted today. We take it for granted. Remember the Statue of Liberty stands for what America is. We as Democrats have to remind ourselves and remind the country the great principles we stand for. This is a place of protection. This is not a country of bullies. We are not an empire. My guess is more reporters probably vote Democrat than Republican - just because I think reporters are smart.

I like the idea that there's no censorship, because it's consistent with my views that we live in a free society and people ought to be able to express their views.
