Words enable us to transfer our thoughts from inside our own mind into the mind of another. They have the power to alter history, to describe the past, and to bring meaning and substance to the present.

We cannot move casually into a better future. We cannot casually pursue the goal we have set for ourselves. A goal that is casually pursued is not a goal; at best it is a wish, and wishes are little more than self-delusion.

It seems that every life form on this planet strives toward its maximum potential... except human beings. A tree does not grow to half its potential size and then say, "l guess that will do." A tree will drive its roots as deep as possible. It will soak up as much nourishment as it can, stretch as high and as wide as nature will allow, and then look down as if to remind us of how much each of us could become if we would only do all that we can.

Live a life that will help others spiritually, intellectually, physically, financially and relationally. Live a life that serves as a example of what an exceptional life can look like.

Decision making can sometimes seem like inner civil war.

Great leaders must be able to realize when something isn’t working-no matter how hard they’ve worked to make it succeed.

If you just communicate, you can get by. But if you communicate skillfully, you can work miracles.
