If I was playing Carrie, I might have done differently but I felt like as my character. I mean, I'm definitely bringing myself to the role but I wanted to pay homage. I hope I did. We'll see.

Not that my life has been so crazy and exciting but, it just seems like if I can bring more of myself to the role. It's going to help keep it spontaneous and exciting, instead of thinking in terms of this box of a human that I have to slip myself into every week, which I tend to do more when I'm shooting a movie. On a television show, this is all kind of still new to me, doing many episodes of something, so I want to try to keep it as fresh and close to home as possible, so it doesn't get stale and I still like it every day.

I think because bullying has really become such a problem right now, I think it's maybe going to be more impactful right now, just because of where that is in society and how much more we're hearing about it.

I didn't really think of role in those terms, like 'quirky best friend', when I read the script and when I came to the project.

Maybe when we were shooting in the school, I was feeling more like it. Every time I go back to a school for work, I always feel so huge. Everything seems so little. The lockers seem smaller than I remember and the length of the hallways seem shorter when you're a kid.

I was not awesome at dancing. For a ballerina, I probably started too late. Plus I enjoyed entertaining people too much.

I've done a lot of pilots, and they're all so expositional. In the beginning, I think that it is important to make sure that the audience is invested in us.
