I think people like listening to what I call trippy music but maybe next year it will be something else. I still have gangster tracks and real-life stories and situations in my music. Iรขโฌโขve been blessed because over 20 year, I never stopped doing what I was doing. Itรขโฌโขs pretty much the same thing and Iรขโฌโขve never really changed anything up.
Juicy JI fell in love with music at 13-years-old. I wanted to be a singer at first and a drummer. Then I fell in love with rap music.
Juicy JNothing is going to stay the same; nothing's gonna sound like in 1952. There's some stuff that has some elements of back in the day, like back in the 90's, back in the 80's or whatever. Some elements, but it's not going to be the same, exactly, sounding. And I love it, I've seen the music change. I've seen the flow and the energy go from turned up to turned down to back to turned up. I like to try different stuff. I don't like to do the same old thing over and over again. I don't like to be repetitive, that gets on my nerves.
Juicy JAs a musician, you write and make music as you go. It's definitely in a great sequence. When you release songs, you think, "Let me make sure this goes with this so it's like a story."
Juicy JThe first video I shot for "A Zip and a Double Cup"รขโฌ"I have two versions, a remix video and a the originalรขโฌ"because I wasnรขโฌโขt really trying to do anything. I just came home and got kind of high and shot a video in the parking lot. I just shot the video how I wanted to do it and posted it online and the next day it went crazy.
