People are obsessed. There's an incredibly large group of people that spend most of their time considering other people's lives. It's strange to me.

I have been criticized a lot for not looking perfect in every photograph. I'm not embarrassed about it. I'm proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, 'What an actress! What a faker!'

I'm a fan of movies and television shows, and I don't expect anything from actors and actresses, or anyone, but good work. What they do. I don't feel like I deserve a piece of their personal life, or even what they think about the work they do.

Everyone always says, 'Kristen got 'Panic Room' because she looks like Jodie Foster.' But it was actually Nicole Kidman who was supposed to play my mother.

I hurt myself doing a fight scene with some dwarves.

The first noticeable thing to me about falling in love for the first time is how physical it is. But I've had it a couple times, so it's not just the first time, which is actually encouraging. It's just you feel like you're being ripped in half and it hurts in the best way. And it's like this dropping pole that also floats and it burns and it's cold. It's like just all every contradictory feeling at once imploding.

Everyone wants to know about the gold ring. Everyone knows already - it's ridiculous.
