There are certain things in 'Twilight'... As much as I'm proud of that movie and I do like it, I feel like maybe I brought too much of myself to the character. I feel like I really know Bella now. But most readers feel like they know Bella because it's a first-person narrative.

A question that I can't answer is: what do you want to do next? What's your dream role? What are you really looking to do? Where do you see yourself? It doesn't make any sense because that's such an outsider's perspective.

Masses of girls identified with Bella in a really profound way, for want of a better word. The connection that I've seen people have - I've seen it physically. It's the characters they're flipping for.

I don't know who said it, but it really kind of hit me hard in the stomach: "The only difference between all of us is that some of us were loved and some of us weren't."

Appreciate what you've got and follow your heart and you're all good. Don't over-complicate things.

I'm also human so I have days when I look in the mirror and go, "All right . . . Things are definitely changing." I can see that.

It took me a long time to realise that I was a girl as a teenager. At that point I never really believed it. I looked like a boy for a long time. Now, finally, I feel like a woman.
