Americans want grungy people, stabbing themselves in the head on stage. They get a bright bunch like us, with deodorant on, they don't get it. I'm 24 years old, I've got a load a money, what am I gonna do, sit at home and twiddle me thumbs? No. I'm gonna go out and 'ave it.

It's about the music and that's it. I'm not an entertainer. But I do entertain people, see what I mean?

I didn't always want to be a dad.

I suppose I do get sad, but not for too long. I just look in the mirror and go, 'What a f***ing good-looking f*** you are.' And then I brighten up.

That's what you join a band for, is to make music. Not to sit around and have five years off. We're not getting any younger.

The idea of sitting at home, not making music, just makes me want to throw up.
