When a Christian stops growing, help is needed. If you are the same Christian you were a few months ago, be careful.

God's love never ceases. Never. Though we spurn him. Ignore him. Reject him. Despise him. Disobey him. He will not change. Our evil cannot diminish his love. Our goodness cannot increase it. Our faith does not earn it any more than our stupidity jeopardizes it. God doesn't love us less if we fail or more if we succeed. God's love never ceases.

Someday I want to go back and maybe write another book on those seven sayings. I just think they are kind of like a table of contents to the Christian hope. They invite us to go into all the aspects of the heart of Jesus. Everything about them from the drama, the setting, the passion around them - I think the seven sayings of the cross are powerful.

I was about 21 when I read that [Mere Christianity], and my faith was really being shaken during those days. Its a great, classic book.

When we submit to God's plans, we can trust our desires. Our assignment is found at the intersection of God's plan and our pleasures.
