Doing the impossible is the history of this nation. It is how this country was built

No country can ever truly flourish if it stifles the potential of its women and deprives itself of the contributions of half of its citizens.

I try to have no absolute nos. I love french fries, I like a good burger, and I like pie. And that's okay.

Ultimately this issue is on us. We're the ones who make the decisions about what our kids eat.

I believe that each of us-no matter what our age or background or walk of life-each of us has something to contribute to the life of this nation.

Countries are stronger and more prosperous when the voices and opinions of all their citizens can be heard.

Selfishly, working with kids gives me joy - it makes me feel like my life has a purpose. And I thought, Imagine what we can do in the White House, particularly with the kids in the D.C. area, many of whom have never set foot on the White House lawn.
