I like to talk about my obsession with french fries because I don't want people to think that 'Let's Move' is about complete, utter deprivation. It's about moderation and real-life changes and ideas that really work for families.

Hope and change are hard-fought things.

Today Jazz music is performed & listened to by people of all ethnicity, backgrounds, ages & creeds.

Women should have the freedom to do whatever they need to do to feel good about themselves.

Do not die in the history of your past hurts and past experiences, but live in the now and future of your destiny.

My kids are normal. If they could eat burgers and fries and ice cream every day, they would. And so would I. But that doesn't sustain us.

Let Girls Learn issue has always been personal for me. I grew up in a working-class neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago where most folks, including my parents, didn't have college degrees. But with a lot of hard work - and a lot of financial aid - I had the chance to attend Princeton and Harvard Law School, and that gave me the confidence to pursue my ambitions.
