My first piece of career advice is find your gifting. Find the thing that you are skilled at and figure out if you can make a living doing it.

My grandmother's grandparents were slaves. My grandmother Big Mama would tell me about the stories she heard as a child growing up in the shadows of a North Carolina plantation.
