You'll never overcome your condition without knowing your position. So identity. Significance comes out of identity, meaning life's purpose, your why in life. When I had this concept ["You're All That"] that I'm not just a body with a mind, that I'm a spirit being, I'm a synergistically trying being, when I understood that, life began to come into focus.
