To celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation means to be wrapped in a warm embrace.

I want to say one word to you and this word is “Joy”. Wherever there are consecrated people, seminarians, men and women religious, young people, there is joy, there is always joy!

It means protecting people, showing loving concern for each and every person, especially children, the elderly, those in need, who are often the last we think about.

We are impatient, anxious to see the whole picture, but God lets us see things slowly, quietly.

The proclamation of the Gospel is destined primarily to the poor, to those who often lack the essentials for a decent life. The good news is first announced to them, that God loves them before all others and comes to visit them through the acts of charity that the disciples of Christ carry out in his name.

I thank all missionaries, men and women who quietly work hard for the Lord and their brothers and sisters.
