Be men and women with others and for others: true champions at the service of others.

God's image is the married couple, a man and women, together. Not just the man. Not just the woman. No, both of them. That's God's image.

I thank all missionaries, men and women who quietly work hard for the Lord and their brothers and sisters.

Today is [the feast of] Santa Rita, Patron Saint of impossible things - but this seems impossible: let us ask of her this grace, this grace that all, all, all people would do good and that we would encounter one another in this work, which is a work of creation, like the creation of the Father. A work of the family, because we are all children of God, all of us, all of us! And God loves us, all of us! May Santa Rita grant us this grace, which seems almost impossible. Amen.

I have neither silver nor gold, but I bring with me the most precious thing given to me: Jesus Christ.

I entrust this Twenty-second World Day of the Sick to the intercession of Mary. I ask her to help the sick to bear their sufferings in fellowship with Jesus Christ and to support all those who care for them. To all the ill, and to all the health-care workers and volunteers who assist them, I cordially impart my Apostolic Blessing.

To be saints is not a privilege for a few, but a vocation for everyone.
