I like this idea of the re-foundation of the European Union, maybe it can be done, because Europe - I do not say is unique, but it has a force, a culture, a history that cannot be wasted, and we must do everything so that the European Union has the strength and also the inspiration to make it go forward. That's what I think.

I sincerely hope I can contribute to the progress there has been in relations between Jews and Catholics since the Second Vatican Council in a spirit of renewed collaboration.

Say no to an ephemeral, superficial and throwaway culture, a culture that assumes that you are incapable of taking on responsibility and facing the great challenges of life!

A great challenge: stop ruining the garden which God has entrusted to us so that all may enjoy it.

God never tires of forgiving us.

Are you angry with someone? Pray for that person. That is what Christian love is.

Let us never forget that it is the Lord who guides the Church. He is the one who makes our apostolates fruitful.
