The gospel of Jesus Christ must be defended in every generation. It is always the center of attack by the forces of evil.

Faith is the means by which the righteousness of Christ is given to us.

The only righteousness that meets the requirements of the Law is the righteousness of Christ.

The idea of being the Substitute in offering an atonement to satisfy the demands of God’s law for others was something Christ understood as His mission from the moment He entered this world and took upon Himself a human nature. He came from heaven as the gift of the Father for the express purpose of working out redemption as our Substitute, doing for us what we could not possibly do for ourselves.

I rest solely in His righteousness and in His atonement because I know there is nothing I can do to make up for my own iniquity.

The whole basis for our relationship with God is rooted and grounded in grace, in that which is not earned.

Prayer does change things, all kinds of things. But the most important thing it changes is us. As we engage in this communion with God more deeply and come to know the One with whom we are speaking more intimately, that growing knowledge of God reveals to us all the more brilliantly who we are and our need to change in conformity to Him. Prayer changes us profoundly.
